FRRC invites students and post-graduate students who plan to take part in development and maintenance of FAIR and in scientific investigations at the facility to attend series of lectures devoted to FAIR project. Leading Russian scientists will give lectures that focus on various branches of research and applications with heavy ions: accelerator physics, nuclear physics and physics of elementary particles, physics of high energy density in matter and atomic physics. They will present physical programs of FAIR collaborations (PANDA, CBM, NUSTAR, HEDgeHOB, WDM, SPARK, FLAIR) and experimental facilities that will be constructed in frame of the project. To register as a listener you should send Registration form (see enclosure 1) and copy of your record-book with marks for last year (in jpg or pdf) to

by e-mail not later than October 8. We kindly ask all participants to present poster or essay about physical problem that is most interesting for you and related to FAIR project. The Seminar will be held in ITEP, Bolshaya Cheremushkinskaya St., 25, Moscow. The concept for FAIR – Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research – has been developed by an international science community and the Helmholtz Association's Research Centre GSI in Darmstadt. FAIR will be constructed over the next eight years and will provide scientists from various fields of research with unprecedented high-quality beams of both stable and unstable nuclei as well as of antiprotons in a wide range of intensities and energies for a multifaceted, multidisciplinary forefront science programme. A Joint Helmholtz-ROSATOM FAIR-Russia Research Centre (FRRC) was established by Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung mbH (GSI), Darmstadt, and the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics (ITEP), Moscow located at the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics in Moscow. FRRC bring together FAIR researchers from the many different Russian research communities and laboratories in order to facilitate the development and construction of the Russian in-kind contributions to FAIR and to create synergies in the activities. In addition FRRC pays special attention to the education and the involvement of Russian masters students, PhD students and post-docs into the activities of the Centre and the research carried out at FAIR. Transport expenses and accommodation (ITEP guesthouse) of invented participants will be covered by FRRC.The Seminar will be held on October 14-15, 2009 under FRRC roof.
