The Ninth Call for Applications among students, PhD students and young PhDs for 2018 (hereinafter – Contest), who work in FAIR-related research, “NICA” Complex (Dubna) research and the U-70 accelerator research (Protvino) in educational and scientific centers of the Russian Federation, is announced in the scope of FAIR-Russia Research Center (hereinafter – FRRC).
Contest aims to support the most talented and active students, PhD students and young PhDs as well as to increase their interest in carrying out research on FAIR science, “NICA” complex and the U-70 accelerator in the Russian research institutions in compliance with the topics of the Contest.
Target audience of the Contest will be Russian students, PhD students and young PhDs with the high level of performance, interested in further work on FAIR science, “NICA” complex and the U-70 accelerator in the Russian research center.

not later than 15th of September 2017 the following documents:
- filled application form;
- recommendation letter:
- from a foreign scientist, containing review for the applicant and confirming the interest in the applicant’s research (in English) - copy is enough;
- from a Russian scientist, containing review for the applicant and confirming the interest in the applicant’s research (in English);
- from the director of the applicant’s job organization (in Russian);
- consent to the proceeding of personal data in a specific form.
Requirements to applicants
- master students must successfully complete 4-th year of one of the Russian higher education institutions and provide a recommendation letter from the Russian supervisor;
- PhD students must be studying in a graduate school or be registered applicants and provide a recommendation letter from the Russian supervisor;
- PhDs must be a young scientist not older that 35 by the moment of application, working in a research organization and must have at least 5 scientific publications.
Only citizens and permanent residents of the Russian Federation are allowed to participate in the Contest. Winners will be selected by the specially formed commission on the basis of the submitted application review and presentation.
Financing*
Financial support will be provided in case of successful work during the year in the form of money reward and reimbursement of expenses for business trips for participation in joint research work, participation in conferences, seminars and meetings related to the topic of the project in the amount of:
- up to 430 000,00 RUB per year for a master student;
- up to 570 000,00 RUB per year for a PhD student;
- up to 720 000,00 RUB per year for a PhD.
*Financial support will be only provided in case of successful procurement of funds for this Contest by FRRC
