FROM FEBRUARY 19TH THROUGH FEBRUARY 26TH
Federal State Unitary Enterprise “State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation – Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics” together with Helmh oltz Association of German Research Centers and State Corporation of Nuclear Energy “Rosatom” have successfully held the Joint Helmholtz-Rosatom School, devoted to FAIR, and ITEP Winter School “Extreme state of matter”.
The School was held in Baksovo, Moscow region. Leading Russian and European scientists took part in the School. Among the topic covered during the School are accelerator technics, fundamental and applied research on the constructed FAIR Facility, experimental methods of generating extreme state of matter, contemporary methods of diagnostics of extreme state of matter, radiation effects in solid state of matter, extreme state of nuclear matter, atomic physics, high performance computing, etc. School was aimed at developing and enriching the outlook and the vision, upgrading the academic scope and level of undergraduate students, PhD students, young researches, and also at their involvement in FAIR project. Over 130 participants took part in the School, among them were participants from MEPHi, MPTI, JINR, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, SPbGU, VNIIEF, VNIITF, ITEP, Bose Institute (India), Helmholtz Graduate School for Hadron and Ion Research for FAIR, GSI etc.
