Second part of the lectures’ course “Introduction into parallel computations on modern many-core computer architectures” in ITEP, Moscow, 24-26 February 2015

Second part of the course of lectures “Introduction into parallel computations on modern many-core computer architectures” took place on the 24-26 February in FRRC. The lectures were given by international expert in this field - Professor Ivan Kisel. Most of the participants were presented on the first part of the course, held in FRRC on 2-4 June 2014, with some new people. The course included both theory and practice.

This second part was devoted to programming on Phi accelerators and on GPUs. The universal approach to CPU and Phi/GPU was emphasized. Topics included:

-OpenMP for CPU and Phi,

-OpenCL for CPU and GPU.

Participants worked on FRRC desktops. The lectures were successful.
