Workshop "Experiments with antiproton beams", 1 October 2014, MEPhI, Moscow

[sigplus] Critical error: Image gallery folder gallery/Mochalov_MEPhI_01.10.14 is expected to be a path relative to the image base folder specified in the back-end.

The joint IHEP-MEPhI-RFRC workshop "Experiments with antiproton beams" was held on October 1 in the MEPhI Conference Hall. The main objective of the workshop was to acquaint professors, PhD and under graduate students with the FAIR project, especially with the studies of the properties of matter with antiproton beams.

School-seminar “Physics of new states of matter at the FAIR accelerator” (JINR, Dubna)

Workshop "Physics of new states of matter at the FAIR accelerator” was held at JINR on September 22-23. Leading scientists and young professionals involved in the project PANDA on the accelerator FAIR (only 18 people)  attended the Seminar school.

FRRC announces two-day course on scientific presentations which will take place in the Joint Intsitute for Nuclear Research, Dubna.


 

Course of lectures “Introduction into parallel computations on modern many-core computer architectures”

First part of the course of lectures “Introduction into parallel computations on modern many-core computer architectures” took place on the 2-4 June in FRRC. The lectures were given by international expert in this field - Professor Ivan Kisel.

Course of lectures on geometry transmission between the Monte Carlo simulation systems (ROOT и GEANT4) and CAD CATIA v5

A four day training course on geometry transfer between Monte Carlo particle transport codes ROOT and GEANT 4 on the one side and CAD system CATIA v5 on the other side was carried out by FRRC from 20/05/2014 till 23/05/2014.
